This something to do with the intake camshaft timing linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more radiator fan 2 (v177), difficulty of movement / blocked or change secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck on is the final reason of the code. |
01689 Possible Causes:
01689 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 01689 Code
- Inspect all the connections load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
