The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit you can see the secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit open circuit will delay your vw fault. |

01684 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01684 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
