This code were stamped on VW Engine case turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527) or change turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
01684 Possible Causes:
01684 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01684 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
