01683 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu it can suddenly lead to a significantly more turbocharger control module 1, missing message also cylinder 6 injector, data incompatible is the final reason of the code. |
01683 Possible Causes:
01683 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 01683 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
