The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault relays for pump load air cooling (j536), interruption / short-circuit after mass retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start voltage supply relay, electrical malfunction or change control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
01678 Possible Causes:
01678 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01678 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
