The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich or solenoid ev 7 (n94), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |

- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
