The problem is about secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 . On the other hand exhaust bank 4 main catalyst, effectiveness too low will delay your vw fault. |
01668 Possible Causes:
01668 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01668 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
