This code were stamped on VW Engine case throttle actuator control system, sudden high air flow detected retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+ or change glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster is the final reason of the code. |

01654 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01654 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 6 (n245), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
