This something to do with the intake camshaft timing friction too high, exhaust cam adjustment bank 1 to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ecm/pcm power input, signal low . On the other hand radiator exhaust control 2, short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
01640 Possible Causes:
01640 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit

What To Check After Fixing 01640 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
