Staring in engine post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+ also coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01638 Possible Causes:
01638 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 01638 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
