This something to do with the intake camshaft timing b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling . On the other hand secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on is the final reason of the code. |

01637 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01637 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
