01618 Description And Summary : |

When you open relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground or change valve for torque support mount, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01618 Possible Causes:
01618 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01618 Code
- Inspect all the connections vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
