The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles brake pressure switch (f270), implausible signal you can see the generator shut-off, open or short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
01611 Possible Causes:
01611 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01611 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
