This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle actuator control motor, circuit high and secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
01604 Possible Causes:
01604 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01604 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
