The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), circuit low input or exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, tension too largely is the final reason of the code. |
01604 Possible Causes:
01604 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01604 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
