The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance or oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling will delay your vw fault. |
01601 Possible Causes:
01601 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 01601 Code
- Inspect all the connections catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
