This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant degassing valve, control circuit high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed angle sensors 1 signal implausible for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297) also control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
01589 Possible Causes:
01589 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 01589 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
