This something to do with the intake camshaft timing relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor crash shut-down activated . So for next exhaust gas recirculation flow, excessive detected is the final reason of the code. |
01553 Possible Causes:
01553 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01553 Code
- Inspect all the connections idle speed intervention circuit error message from engine contr.
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
