The problem is about starter interlock, circuit open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so crankshaft position signal output, circuit / open also direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
01553 Possible Causes:
01553 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 01553 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for large amount of heat (j360), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
