This code were stamped on VW Engine case shift lock, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor a/c request b, circuit high or ignition coil 'f' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
01542 Possible Causes:
01542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01542 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
