This something to do with the intake camshaft timing catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open . On the other hand controller pin coding, implausible signal will delay your vw fault. |
01518 Possible Causes:
01518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01518 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust turbocharger control module 1 (j724), high temperature
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
