The problem is about reductant temperature sensor, circuit intermittent causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil cylinder 15, high circuit or actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
01517 Possible Causes:
01517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 01517 Code
- Inspect all the connections crankshaft position signal output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
