01516 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent or change throttle actuator control system, high air flow detected is the final reason of the code. |
01516 Possible Causes:
01516 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01516 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 2 electrical error in the electric circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
