01508 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vehicle speed signal, circuit open or fuel injection valve 1 (n366), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
01508 Possible Causes:
01508 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01508 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
