This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, missing message from control module battery monitoring causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system please check dtc memory of adr control module or ignition switch run/start position, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
01497 Possible Causes:
01497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01497 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
