This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, voltage too low . On the other hand event data recorder request, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
01491 Possible Causes:
01491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01491 Code
- Inspect all the connections sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
