The problem is about coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ecm/pcm power input, signal range / performance . On the other hand intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
01490 Possible Causes:
01490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01490 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
