This code were stamped on VW Engine case please check dtc memory of central electric ecu It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open also ignition coil 'g' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
01489 Possible Causes:
01489 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01489 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'i' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
