01429 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 3 above knock threshold mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu you can see the fuel additive control module requested mil illumination is the final reason of the code. |
01429 Possible Causes:
01429 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 01429 Code
- Inspect all the connections catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
