This code were stamped on VW Engine case accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start starter interlock, circuit short to b+ and wait then linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
01420 Possible Causes:
01420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01420 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'b' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
