Staring in engine exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ or nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
01406 Possible Causes:
01406 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01406 Code
- Inspect all the connections supply voltage for fuel injector group b, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
