01404 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles event data recorder request, circuit high and 'a' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
01404 Possible Causes:
01404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01404 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of transmission ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
