This code were stamped on VW Engine case data bus powertrain, implausible message of the control module central electrics retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low or change fuel pump, electronics faulty is the final reason of the code. |
01399 Possible Causes:
01399 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01399 Code
- Inspect all the connections sensor 1 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
