This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit / open you can see the motor for intake manifold flap (v157), malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
01316 Possible Causes:
01316 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01316 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
