01297 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for fuel bypass (n312), interruption/short-circuit after mass you can see the control module defect will delay your vw fault. |
01297 Possible Causes:
01297 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 01297 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
