01291 Possible Causes:
01291 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 01291 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from acceleration request
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
