01290 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing activation glow plug control module, electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high and intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
01290 Possible Causes:
01290 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01290 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump, short circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
