The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel level sensor 2, performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+ or valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
01289 Possible Causes:
01289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 01289 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
