The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault injector cylinder 14 (n391), circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition switch accessory position, circuit high and exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
01287 Possible Causes:
01287 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01287 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
