Accumulated in electronic control units so ignition coil 'd' primary control, circuit low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so turbocharger speed sensor, circuit low you can see the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
01278 Possible Causes:
01278 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01278 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
