The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel mixture control adjustment range 3, higher limit not reached retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic and valve for torque support mount, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
01266 Possible Causes:
01266 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01266 Code
- Inspect all the connections brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr.
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
