The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 8 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to b+ also turbocharger control module 2, implausible message is the final reason of the code. |
01262 Possible Causes:
01262 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 01262 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of transmission ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
