01261 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) and reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
01261 Possible Causes:
01261 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01261 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
