When you open o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed interference in mechatronic module and wait then valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
01242 Possible Causes:
01242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 01242 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
