The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner control, upper stop not reached It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake torque management feedback signal "a", low or change data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) will delay your vw fault. |
01238 Possible Causes:
01238 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 01238 Code
- Inspect all the connections air leak between maf and throttle body
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
