Staring in engine secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake intake manifold runner bank 1 control, basic setting aborted mechanical limit closed you can see the exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption is the final reason of the code. |
01231 Possible Causes:
01231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01231 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 10 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
