The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition switch accessory position, circuit high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range . So for next ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
01228 Possible Causes:
01228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01228 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission solenoid power relay, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
