01228 Possible Causes:
01228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01228 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), upper limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
