This code were stamped on VW Engine case fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground . So for next event data recorder request, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
01226 Possible Causes:
01226 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01226 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
