This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 1, system too rich at idle run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit low and relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), short-circuit after pluses will delay your vw fault. |
01224 Possible Causes:
01224 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01224 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit range / performance bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
