01223 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ignition coil cylinder 15, low circuit . On the other hand cylinder 8 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
01223 Possible Causes:
01223 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01223 Code
- Inspect all the connections crankshaft position signal output, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
