This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start supply voltage for fuel injector group a, open circuit and sensor 1 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
01222 Possible Causes:
01222 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01222 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for torque support mount, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
