Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground . On the other hand system too lean at higher load, bank 1 will delay your vw fault. |
01222 Possible Causes:
01222 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01222 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
