01221 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance or nox sensor bank 1, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01221 Possible Causes:
01221 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01221 Code
- Inspect all the connections clutch torque, adaptation at limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
