01218 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing activation starter relay 2, open circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open . On the other hand throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
01218 Possible Causes:
01218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01218 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
