Staring in engine oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit high and wait then butterfly valve drive 2 (g296) of electrical errors in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01218 Possible Causes:
01218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01218 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
